Dưa leo có thể gọt vỏ hay giữ lại tùy thích. Cắt bỏ cuống dưa, đem dưa rửa sạch rồi dùng dao bao dưa thành những lát mỏng theo chiều ngang.

Cho dưa leo vào tô cùng với 1/2 muỗng cà phê muối, đổ ngập nước, ngâm dưa khoảng 10 phút. Sau đó vớt dưa leo ra giũ ráo nước.

Trong chén nhỏ trộn đều 1 muỗng canh đường với 1 muỗng canh giấm, sau đó dội vào tô dưa leo trộn đều.
